Corné Biezemans, secretary of the parish board, passed away

 
Thursday afternoon came the terrible news that Corné Biezemans had passed away in the age of 56. 
Despite the fact that we knew he was seriously ill, the obituary overwhelmed us enormously. 

With Corné's passing, we lose an extremely capable and modest administrator. Since January 2016, Corné was secretary of our board. 
He did so in an inspired and very accurate manner. With his legal background, he always managed to make a balanced and very measured contribution to his task on the board.

In addition, for many years he was very active on the editorial board of the Parish News.

 
Also after the diagnosis of his serious illness, Corné remained fully committed to the parish whenever he could.

 
His faith was his foundation and the guiding principle for his commitment to the Church and society.

We will greatly miss his skill, cordiality and his faithful involvement. We pray that he may be in the Peace of the Lord.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., the solemn funeral Mass for him will take place in St. Catherine's Church on Catharinaplein. 
Afterwards, burial will take place in the Catharinakerkhof on Zwembadweg. You are cordially invited to attend.

On Tuesday, March 26, there will be an opportunity to say goodbye to Corné at the Genneperafscheidshuis on the Felix Timmermanslaan 2.
