First Communion

After baptism, a child belongs to God. But in order to participate fully in the life of the Church, it is important to take the next step: partaking of the Eucharist. In a very special way this is celebrated when children make their First Communion, then for the first time (and hopefully not for the last time) they participate in the Lord's Supper.

Preparation

Receiving Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time is a great celebration, which parishioners along with the closest family members would like to attend.

The preparation of First Communion for the children in group 4 of elementary school is done in the same way for the whole parish.
It is a celebration for all the parish community to be able to prepare the youngest generation to celebrate the sacrament of the Eucharist. In the church, around the altar, we celebrate our faith par excellence; that we are a family in Christ! 

Special info evenings 2025-2026 for parents of children in grade 4 of elementary school (or above) are on: 

Monday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 17 at 8.00 pm. 
During these evenings you will receive information and be able to register your child.

16 May and 17 May June at 11.00 at St. George's Church.
